SLAI JOINT PROGRAM
SLAI offers Ph.D. opportunities through joint programs with 31 mainland Chinese universities and six universities in Hong Kong and Macao, including direct-entry, master's-to-Ph.D. transfer, and regular Ph.D. pathways.

You may be a good fit if you have experience in computer vision, machine learning, robotics, scientific computing, optimization, simulation, or a related scientific or engineering discipline. We also welcome candidates from adjacent fields who can bring new perspectives to our research.
Based at SLAI, YES Lab offers an international research environment with competitive scholarships, student accommodation, and substantial computing resources—practical support for focusing on ambitious research.
Our collaborations span academia and industry. I work closely with Wanli Ouyang, Saining Xie, and Dongdong Chen, creating opportunities for joint projects, wider feedback, and exposure to different research communities.
Each Ph.D. student is co-supervised by at least two mentors, combining complementary expertise and resources with frequent, hands-on guidance throughout the research process.
